Cookies, Log Files, and Web Beacons

Cookies and Log Files

Unimedia uses cookies and web log files to store Users’ preferences and to record session information in order to manage site usage and to provide other features within our Service.

A cookie is a small data file that resides on your computer or mobile device that uniquely identifies your browser. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser, while a persistent cookie remains after you close your browser. Unimedia uses both session cookies and persistent cookies.

Log files may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser language, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.

Please note that you can set your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent; however, some features of our Services may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Web Beacons

We may allow other companies in our advertising network to serve advertisements to Unimedia users. These companies may include third party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors and research firms. Unimedia may “target” some ads to users that fit certain criteria. Unimedia does not and will not, however, use personally identifiable information to target ads. To deliver these ads properly, Unimedia may include a file, called a web beacon, from these companies within pages served by Unimedia so the networks may provide anonymized, aggregated auditing, research and reporting for advertisers as well as to target ads to you while you visit other websites. Also, other companies sending you ads or other content may view, edit, or set their own cookies just as if you had requested a webpage directly from their site.

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For this reason, Unimedia does not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of Services or Writewith.com is directed to persons under 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not use our Services, including Writewith.com, at any time or in any manner. If Unimedia learns that personally identifiable information of persons under 13 years of age has been collected on Writewith.com without verified consent from a parent or legal guardian, then Unimedia may take any appropriate steps to delete this information.
